My Role: Creative Director and Writer

The Challenge

The EEA,  a global community of blockchain business leaders, had a Devcon 2022 problem. As a relatively new organization, their marketing budget was modest. But they’d be competing with global companies spending upwards of $100,000 to grab the attention of 6,000 conference attendees.


The Solution

Sometimes a solution is hidden in plain sight. We asked ourselves: How will attendees enter the conference centre? Can we get a message to them before they’re inside? Turns out there’s only one entrance–which meant that every attendee would have to pass by the blank wall of a hotel 150 feet away. A small fee got us the hotel’s permission to project onto the wall, and then we came up with three engaging, cheeky messages.


The Outcome

A 1,000% increase in EEA web traffic over the course of Devcon 2022.
